Secondary framing enhances structural stability by supporting roof and wall panels. Purlins, girts, and eave struts are included in the secondary structural members.

Crafted from high-grade steel conforming to ASTM A 607 Grade 50 or equivalent, our secondary framing members are available in thicknesses ranging from 1.5 mm to 5 mm. They come with a durable pre-galvanised finish or a factory-applied corrosion protection primer with a minimum of 35 microns (DFT) for enhanced longevity.

Girts are horizontal structural members that provide support to wall panels while enhancing lateral stability. In pre-engineered buildings, girts are installed at intervals of 1200 mm to 1500 mm, depending on the size and type of wall panel used. They also support exterior elements such as windows, doors, and roofing panels, ensuring structural integrity and stability.

Purlins

Purlins are horizontal beams that provide essential support to roof panels, especially in regions prone to high winds. By evenly distributing roof loads, they enhance structural integrity. Available in C-shaped and Z-shaped profiles, well-designed purlins not only improve stability but also help reduce construction costs.
