Key Systems of Primary Framing
Rigid Frames
Rigid frames are I-section structural members (web and flange) connected with bolts, designed to bear the building’s load. Vertical members are called columns, while horizontal members connected to the columns are called rafters. These frames maximise interior space and are ideal for large industrial, commercial, and warehouse settings that require open layouts.
Bracing
Bracings are cross-supporting members designed to evenly transfer load or seismic forces across columns, enhancing structural stability and preventing collapse.
